Ferme d’Upignac is situated in the heart of the Hesbaye, a region that is known for its solid but fertile soil. The traditionally built courtyard farm has been in the Petit family for more than 300 years. Visitors enter the paved courtyard through a stately portico building. The oldest part of the farm are the living quarters, which date from the 17th century. The courtyard farm also has a large barn, previously used to store corn, and stables that can accommodate up to 20 horses (these were used to till the land in the past). But this erstwhile livestock has today made way for a reception hall and a farm store in the beautifully restored buildings.
